Hi- Hopefully someone here can help me out. I had HOI 2 installed on Wal-Mart E-machines running Vista. It ran great but I grew tired after awhile. Rather than leaving it installed I foolishly uninstalled it. Or so I thought. I put game on memory stick instead of PC itself. There is now nothing on memory stick as game supposedly was completely deleted. The problem I'm having is it still shows on PC. I go to control panel=>programs=>change/uninstall programs and it pulls up everything that is on PC. It still lists HOI 2 on there. I click on it to uninstall and menu with remove/repair pops up. Either option I pick it runs for about a minute then comes up finished. If I put disk in and let auto run do its thing menu comes up with install(blanked out), uninstall(which leads me back to remove/repair screen), play(which doesn't do anything since it's not installed), or exit. Would like to get this cleared up and reinstalled which I won't screw with again. Any help is greatly welcomed.

Here is what you would do:

- Delete all files relating to HOI2 from your harddrive (you already did that).
- Go into the registry (go to "start" -> "run" -> type regedit -> press ok (ps. this is for XP, don't know if it's the same for Vista)) and delete all files relating to HOI2. Search for Hearts of iron, or HOI2, or Paradox. Continue searching until you've found them all. Be very carefull when you edit the registry, you might screw up your pc. Only delete items you're sure of are related to HOI2.
- Install the game.

Thanks alot!! I think that did it. It took a little searching in the registery but I found several items that had been overlooked. I did a quick run thru to be sure it would install and it looks like it will work. Will know later maybe tomorrow. Right now unfortunately work calls and I must answer it or ....Anyway thanks again for the help.:)
