Thank you JustinKase for pointing this out to me from the Kickstarter ...

*Camospecs: A Unit Art Manual PDF. The BattleTech community is fantastic, filled with great energy and passion that can lead to fantastic projects. One of those is the Unit Art Compendium, created by the community for MechWarrior Online. Our Camospecs: A Unit Art Manual PDF will be patterned after that amazing project. It will include a variety of paint schemes for various combat commands from the various factions, appropriate to each design, along with text discussing those details. This PDF will dove-tail into the Camospecs: A Guide to Faction Paint Schemes from the $1,750,000 Stretch Goal; each time a new How To Paint guideline is added to that PDF, it will correspond directly to a camo schemes from this Camospecs: A Unit Art Manual. WARRIOR and above will receive all PDF updates for free.*

A couple of points ...
A) the link included leads to the very first PDF version of the UCC. It's heavily outdated.
B) Even the latest version of the PDF is outdated by now. It's nice to browse through but yeah ... https://unitcolorcompendium.com/ is where you find up-to-date informations if you desire to.
C) It's title is Unit Color Compendium - BattleTech Unit Color Palettes and Paint Schemes (now: A Database for BattleTech Unit Color Palettes and Paint Schemes)
D) It's NOT just for MWO but rather for every hobbyist involved with BattleTech

I had to take down the unitcolorcompendium site to figure out some issues I ran into. It might take some time.
The UCC is a great Community Resource. It will be sorely missed but maintenance and problem solving come first. Here’s to hoping all goes well.

A lot of work from a lot of people went into this community resource... any chance the UCC will be made available again soon?

Progress is being made. Expect an official announcement in the near future.

The long waiting time is over and the UCC is online again! Thank you for your patience! There’s been a change. The site and project has been transfered to @Insaniac99. The step was necessary and the main thing is that the site is accessible yet again. I’ll will continue to assist and help out on the project. Please, note that there might be some hick-ups like missing images here and there. We'll take care of those along the way. IMPORTANT: If you contributed and you have an issue with your content now beeing used in this way, please let either Insaniac or me know and we’ll remove it! This is also the time, where we’d like to reach out to find a small amount of trustworthy, reliable and overall determined administrators to join. We’ll firstly consider those who already contributed but if you feel like you want to become a member of the team, please let us know, too. Enjoy! Cheers, Insaniac99 + LK

It was brought to my attention that someone is printing AND SELLING the UCC.

DO NOT BUY the printed UCC book!

The PDFs were made as fan-work by myself and other fans for the community.

It was created as a digital product to be viewed on screens only! I designed it to not be printed EVER. All files were (and are still) password protected. The resolution of a printed work should also be bad due to low quality images. Someone went to some lenghts to make this possible.

Also: All PDF publications state clearly the right holders!

It appears the individual printing the UCC (among other books) is German and is selling the book from there. It's possible he's been doing it for some time.

ALSO, he states that Robert Ash is handling the US sales.

I WILL TAKE MEASURES TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER PRINTING.

Please, spread this message, and, again, don't buy the book!

Thank you.
