Hello,

I wonder what I am doing wrong, I designed a template that should work at 8 km/h, also set up the equipment, so they use the models that work at 8 km/h..

but take a look at the immage:

the speed is det up at 4 km/h.

Thanks.

Low supply reducing speed? Low fuel is another factor.
Edit - wait the division moves at the speed of the slowest unit. Your starting base isn’t 8, it’s 5.8. Calculate your speed from that value and multiply your modifiers to that value.
Edit2 - Don’t recon units lower speed too? I’m not actually sure. Armored support companies are slow too for some reason.

Either way, 8 won’t be your base if you have a slower unit in the division. I don’t know. I noticed units slow down for all sorts of reasons. I never understood how all the factors go together really.

I'm guessing it's the armoured support vehicles. The medium tank and medium flame tank designs introduced through NSB should get taken into account in the calculation, but because the armoured support company vehicle is GD dlc it doesn't use the designer and isn't as well integrated into the game.

4k is the base speed for infantry - it is also the default speed battalions move at if they don't have vehicles. I'd guess one of your units doesn't have any vehicles (possibly armoured support company as mentioned above) and this the personnel assigned to it walk (instead of hitching a ride with the other battalions!)

It's an annoying edge case - check your division supplies, both are under 100% (but not by much which suggests support unit)

This explains a couple situations I noticed, thanks from me too! That’s actually a nice supply detail. While the pop up note is not very descriptive, it definitely makes sense from a realism aspect. No vehicles = unit is walking.
