I know this has been mentioned many times, but why can Paradox not upgrade the unity engine for the game? I am asking this today (Aug 24, 2022) because one of my games (Universe Sandbox) has upgraded from an older Unity to a newer version. That game is a huge simulation too. To me, this means that Cities: Skylines can be upgraded too, which should mean a lot of the suggestions for C:S 2 could be implemented in C:S. Unmodded things like better graphics, more tiles available, higher limits for nodes/citizens/cars, to name a few.

Thoughts?

Paradox has nothing to do with the development of this game Colossal Order is the developer.
To my understanding it is to complicated to "just" update this game to the newer version of unity.

There was a comment in this thread on 15 August saying that it would not happen and why. (Ignore the Achievements part.)
