Unknown Error While Loading Files

I installed the game, but when I tried to play it, it crashed while loading and "unknown error while loading files" popped up.

I de-install and install. Still the same issue.

I de-install and install again. Still the same.

I de-install again and this time I make sure to delete the documents/Pdox/Eu4 file as well and made sure nothing was left in the steam folder. I then re-installed it. Added en exception in the antivirus software. And verfied the game files. No mods, just vanilla via Steam. But still I get unknown error while loading files.

Has this game always been like this for you, or it worked up until some point?

Does this affect any similar game like CK2 ?

Can we see a screenshot of the actual error please? This is to tell if it comes from Steam, our launcher, or the game.

I managed to solve it.

I hadn't played for ages, and apparently the Beyond typus mod was somehow still activated from all that time ago and that's what caused the error.
