The item you are listing is (I believe) a vanilla (non-CORE) problem with the new land commander traits. We can look at the BB4 naming issue for French ships, though.
EDIT : Just checked the files - as far as I can see, the BB4 for France will be the "Bretagne" class - should show up fine in game. Are you using ARM or DD, btw ?
