I remember reading back somewhere in here that it takes uninterrupted time to unload troops. Sadly, many of my game experiences show this not to be true. Last night, I had a Papal States (of all people!) fleet of 4 Warships and 10 Transports dump 20,000 Papists onto Anglia WHILE my fleet of 22 Warships was attacking them. I was at a loss on this one and started paying more attention and sure enough, fleets dont seem to be interrupted while unloading troops even if they have to fight for their lives.

So, is this NOT supposed to be that way? Was the info in error or is this a um...bug? Either way, I'd just like to know. Also, SHOULD it be included as a feature...ie 'if attacked while unloading, the army's movement order is cancelled'? This would be similar to the ability of armies to 'preempt' movement on land by attacking the province where the enemy is moving from.

Thanx,
Talenn

I've had it happen both ways. In my latest game, the French were able to complete a landing while under attack from the enemy fleet (but the French won the battle). Where I've lost the battle, the landing was aborted, and in at least one case the troops were lost. In another game, the landing was aborted even when I won the battle.

Wish I knew why:(

Though I doubt it works this way, could it be the ratio of transports and warships. Perhaps the warships can 'cover' the transports?
