I don't know if anybody noticed, but in 1.03 you cant see the enemy fleet (good thing), but you also don't see them doing DDay (landing with armies) which I would put up to debate if its a good thing. You suddenly end up with an army that lands on your turf without you noticing anything which is hardly realistic...

I would say you should have a "view range" of the adjacent sea zones - to represent outposts, spotters, that sort of thing.

The one thing I think you SHOULDN'T see are submarines off your coast.

I was going to say the same thing as DieFledermas. There would definitely be scout planes patrolling the coastal waters to watch out for huge fleets.Countries should be able to see navies that are in adjacent sea zones to their land.

Well, one option would be to give the same kind of info as we now get on ground troops, with better info if fighters are stationed in the province?

I don't know how exactly to implement this, but I remember in PTO for Super Nintendo that you could order a battle group to go into radio silence mode, making them harder to detect by the enemy but not allowing you to see where they were. I think that would be cool to implement, like how Pearl Harbor was accomplished by the Japanese.

Can't you just send a fighter on patrol over the territory? I would think spotting the enemy fleets should be more tied into tech....btw, sorry about last night...the wife booted me off the computer before I could warn anyone..I've become a puppet husband :p

I would say Industrious' idea would work (in the current game mechanic) BUT the point is you shouldn't have to.

1 fighter lufflotte = 100 planes? that's a lot of scout planes. scout planes should be a non-unit function of the game
