Updating & Patching

Everytime i try to update my version (1.2) everything goes fine when Im downloading.Then Installshield wizard opens but then it says "Hearts of Iron 2 is not installed on your computer. Please install the game before installing the update. The installation will now exit!"


I have tried downloading from many different sites and closing all firewalls and stuff and making sure the file is in My Computer but get the same result every time. Is there something else I need to download so i can go from V1.2 to V1.3?

This has nothing to do with downloading, since you did not recieve any errors when you did that right.
So the problem is with installing the patch.
Now the problem is that the install program is not reading that you have the game installed. This is most likely caused by a problem in the registry entry.
Either it recorded the wrong path when you installed the game or you moved the folder after installing.
Another possibility is that you have installed a mod or edited files.

Did you install to the default drive and path?
Have you installed any Mods or edited any files?
Have you moved or copied the HOI2 folder?

I have other problem.When I pached the game I have an error, "Don't send" from Microsoft.I read it and it says somthing about my IP and i don't know what to do.PLS help me, HoI2 is my favorite game!!

I must have moved the thing, but I dont remember ever doing that and its exactly where i installed it to. I checked to see if i had any mods or something but I dont. Do you think I should reinstall it?

No, No, and No, its exactly where it was installed to, i havent moved or copied it, and there are no mods. Im just going to reinstall it and if i still have problems ill just wait until doomsday comes out.

Well lets get is solved now so you do not have problems with doomsday.
When you reinstall do so to the C drive and use the default folder, that will be the one that the install program suggests.
If you need help uninstalling then follow the directions in the sticky thread on the subject.
