Update 1.08 Benelux

Sorry,but I've got some silly questions in regard to update 1.08.
The version Update 1.08.BEN.exe or something is the english version from Blackstar(1.07)??
How do I make this update work?I'm not computer-minded at all.
I would like someone to tell me(Or show where I can find it)
how to use such an update?
I'm on my way with a GC;This ought to be save when I make an Update??

I sincerely hope that my silly questions will be answered because I never understand patches and that kind of S...

No problem, everybody has to start somewhere.

The version 1.08BEN is indeed the patch for the English version of EU distributed by Blackstar in the Benelux countries. The version distributed is 1.07B.

I don't know how computer-literate you are, but here is the general idea. Just download the patch by clicking the link. Notice in which subdirectory the patch is downloaded. In some Internet browsers you can open the patch directly after downloading it, otherwise you have to look it up via the Windows Explorer or via finding the file 'Europa Universalis 1.08 BEN.exe'.
Just start the .exe and press 'next and yes' a few times in the dialog-boxes that come. Eventually specify the subdirectory you originally installed EU to and you are updated.

As far as I know your GC saved files are not compatible. At least it isn't supported. There are some stories that it might work.
