There are only 12 Anomalies, 2 Digsites, and 3 Planetary Features per Storm type(Electric have 4, and Gravity have 5) all of which are unique. You can get just about all of them from a single Storm, you don't really need to do any sling-shotting of Storms to find them all passively.

The Features are also meant to be unique, but the flag is per Empire and they can spawn on uncolonized worlds within or without your Empire in spite of this restriction(at least the ones that don't require an event).

Ah, I didn't realise the features were unique - that's pretty disappointing actually...

Well then I guess amend my previous comments to "they should add a few non-unique generic ones and then make the deposits, anomalies, dig sites etc. you get when a storm leaves a system instead happen while the storm is there."

I have to agree, unfortunately. The system actually works much better considering the penalties for having storms around when they happen multiple times - that means I'm paying a penalty now for benefit later.

Not nearly so good with them only happening once, if they ever fix it. That will only reduce what excitement there is in using storms deliberately to get long-term benefits.

I will just say that my personal gripes with Machine Age content are that both advanced authorities and the species traits it introduced badly need a balance pass.
I don't think all the authorities will ever be perfectly balanced, I just want at least one cybernetic or synthetic imperial authority to be strong. As it stands I would seriously think about unless you are robot already, to not go down any of these ascensions as a imperial faction go psionic instead. Maybe if they made ruler pops have a stronger impact but as they are now you get so few of them it's hardly worth it. Say if the imperial cybernetic gave a leader job to every district built, master foreman for industial districts for example ruler form of alloy and consumer good specialists.

You could do something similar for the oligarchy cybernetic one too, with that one I would add enforcer jobs to housing districts and capital building too. As they don't have access to Oppressive Autocracy to really take advantage of enforcers, though a simpler fix would just make the ruler output part based on bureaucrats instead.

I will admit that I am kinda worried about abandonment and lack of touchups just because there has been so much content released and a backlog now. And a backlog thats pretty blackbox in what we're gonna see given a pass and potential set of touchups, concurrent with other outstanding issues that have nothing to do with DLC itself like 'Unbidden abandoning the anchor and not resembling a crisis because of it'.

I wouldn't mind being clobbered with several updates in lieu of DLC, especially so something really novel like Storms doesn't wind up being something illconsidered in retrospect as a bad idea, when it was an interesting idea given short shrift in dev support after release. (I intend to play with them on but I think I got the experience being about them and conjuring them down and it's okay...I think I can actually do just fine being less than all about them going forward, but goddamn there are some pain points, some neglect of effect, and obviously the presentation kills me even when its pure bonus notification.)
Agreed.

Season 8 has been interesting - Machine Age was huge and impressive. Cosmic Storms has been... mixed. Grand Archive seems better, but I am not yet wowed by it.

I for one am really hoping the Devs slow down a little on new content updates next year, focusing instead on belt-and-braces Custodian work to blast bugs, fix niggles, improve QoL, and address rebalances etc.
