Update gets Lang version wrong

The latest update, Victoria_english_103.exe, sees my installed version as the wrong languge and exits out. I've uninstalled everything and reinstallled, confirmed it's all in English. Confirmed the patch is the english version, but it still thinks it has the wrong language?!?

I bet you actually DLed the German version of the patch.
Since English language and SF version do not have language option.
Ar eyou sure you got a legit copy, did you buy it from a retailer you trust?
Delete the patch from your HD then DL the patch from this link.

I bought it at Best Buys. As reliable as any other retailer. If it were the German install, then how come it installs in english?

The german version is dual language so you have the option to install in English or German, but infact you have to play around with the files inorder to get the original to install in German.

Had you patched the game before with an earlier version of a patch?
If so I would wipe the game from my system, then check the registy to make sure the entries there were deleted by the uninstall, then delete all folder associated with the game, and then do a fresh install from the CD and then just apply 1.03 from the link I provided.

I think the registry delete did it.

I believe the sequence of events was thus...
I started a German Lang patch. Stopped it when it was obviously in German, but by that time something had been altered.

The current patch installed OK after complete deinstall and regedit.
