Update says I already registered?

I bought the game in a retail store. It installed, asked for my activation code, and no problem. I started it up and I watched the opening cinematic no problem. It asks me if I want to download the patch for v1.05 and I say yes. It says to keep my install code handy...

Note that it says to run patch 1 even though it downloads patch 2.

Anyway I download it and try to install it and I reenter my email address and activation code and it tells me I already used the code.

I cannot get past this screen. I can play without the patch but I'd really like to get the patch installed before playing.

I'm running this on XP.

Hi,
this is probably a problem with the e-mail and key combination.
To get it solved you should start by going to
http://www.stardock.com/support/
Enter your e-mail there, and you'll receive an e-mail about your keys.
If the East India Company key is not in that e-mail, then you have probably
typed your e-mail wrong when installing the game for the first time.
In this case, you should contact the Stardock technical support from here:
http://esupport.stardock.com/

Thanks for the reply. I appears that I made a typo in my email address when I first activated the game, although I'm usually pretty careful entering my email address in these situations. I followed your directions and wound up submitting a ticket on http://esupport.stardock.com/.
