Upgrade question

I'm playing EU2 on v1.05 and I think I want to upgrade to 1.07 and maybe even the beta.

However, I can't for the life of me remember whether I bought the game in the US or UK.

When I look up the properties of the EU2.exe file it says the language is US English. Does that mean I'm using the NA version?

And is the latest post-1.07 beta stable? Should I download that and use it too?

Patches do not actually go by region.
They go by publisher. eg. Pan Vision, Strategy First ...

So what Icons/Names are on the CD?
