I am playing the USA in 1.03 on normal/normal.

I had the 49th parallel event and choice pop up around 1845 and each time I chose the one theat included [arts of present day canada (49th? ) I had an immediate CTD. This happened 3 times before I was able to make it through the event and have the northern border of the US be the 49th parallel.

My problem is similiar;

Apologies in advance as I suspect the screen shot won't work

I'm currently playing Mexico. I'm at war with the US over the Texas border, and the British were kind enough to delcare war as well. The "Northers Reconciliation War" is going well, and I've claimed Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington [state] and Idaho. After doing some maneuvers in the south, I noticed that the Oregon Treaty had been signed. I take a look up north, and I see this

How in the heck did that happen?!?! Most of the colonial buildings south of the line of claimed Canadian provinces are mine -- the ones to the north are mostly British. Nonetheless, shouldn't the buildings transferred via the Oregon Treaty still be buildings? And how can you claim part of a colony? I'm so confused. . .

Just an FYI - the 49th is the historical choice. Some people seem to be under the impression it's not. The 54th (US's "grab-it-all) choice goes all the way to the northern edge of present British Columbia; the UK's 42 choice goes all the way to the northern border of California.

Sure. My problem is that the parts of Southern Canada that get transferred to the Yanks in the ahistorical choice are transferred as *controlled provinces* not claim buildings. that shouldn't be.

There's also the extremely weird effect that, if the British acquiesce to 54' 40", not only do you get the British claim buildings up to that line as a province, your one claim building in Vernon BC stays a building. Surrounded by claimed provinces.
