Okay I am still playing this crazy Japanese game in which Germany was annexed by Poland in 1935. Been very quiet most of game except my fight with China which lasted just under 2 years.

Now the date is April 10th, 1940 and the US Oil Embargo Event fires off. I read the entire event and very first line says that in July 1941 the US and other countries imposed and embargo on Japan for not leaving China.

Umm, (scratches his head), July 1941, umm its April 1940 in my game. Devs? Should this fire off in July 1941 and not earlier? Or is this because I wooped China's butt and all the Allies figure a year earlier is better to embargo me?

Scratches his head some more. Some of these events in IC are great yet the time frame or time line they happen is off by months or in my case a year. Anyone else getting weird event triggers?

Oh yes, lots of them! I´m playing as Germany (now in ´44) and war started in´43 with a Soviet attack on Poland (allied with me since ´35). But it seems that many events are triggerd on a historical timeline as if the war would start "normal" in ´39 with Germany invading Poland. For example since 1940 I have military acces to Finnland for what resaon ever, because there was never a winter war and Finnland is still not at war with the USSR (perhaps the commies would have attacked them, but after a few weeks advance in ´43 they are now on retreat, beaten out
of Poland and now loosing ground to the axis forces). BTW this military access is somewhat useless! I can use airbases in Finnland to attack the Soviets but it is NOT possible to cross the border with my troops and attack Leningrad from the north (so I had to make an amphibious landing west of the city, because there the coastal defence is much weaker). And it seems that every other historical event (concerning every country) is running according to the historical timeline (more or less) even if the historical reason for it is not given at that moment. A bit weird, bur sometimes also funny! Like the swedish IKEA-event.... (LOL)

I wouldn't call what I experienced wierd but I noticed that other Belgium chose to extend Relations with US(which I am) and yet I recieved nothing. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
