Hi,
I was just looking at tweaks i made in the
Grand campaign that allowed for non european
nations and the one flaw i noticed was not much
could be done in regards to diplomacy since many
are isolated. Is there a way to modify the
grand campaign by allowing you to play non
european nations PLUS adding a few explorers
for these nations right off the bat to allow
more interaction? This would be sort of a-historical
but is the only way i can think of to play
a non european nation in the grand campaign without
being bored.

I'm talking china, japan, India, Africa, Aztecs &
Incas here.

As I uderstand it inca, aztek and those indians in north america don't advance in technology at all. Japan (&china?) advances in tech but can not build any structures. I don't know of other limits that may affect any other non european nation.

In fantasia scenario its creators have gone around this somehow so it might be possible to get these limits off somehow.

As far as I know any and all countries in GC can be made playable for player and everything (provinces, leaders, monarcs etc.) can be modified.

But in these you need help of someone with experience with scenario editing and file editing. There are faq's around here someplace that explain how to edit the files and play as minor but I don't remember where at the moment thought.
