This has been happening to me for sometime now, Ill place down some water pipes and electrical cables and after the workers complete the jobs, I see that some of the pipes/cable are missing, The "blueprint" of the pipe/cable just disappears as if I never placed it down.

No mods are active or installed.
If by "existing prisons" you mean the pre-made prisons, I haven't played one in a while so I cant remember, but new prison that I make all ways have some go missing
I'm not 100% if its reproducible, It kinda just happens. for example i'll finish building a cell block run the cable/pipes, go afk (waiting for it to build) come back and realize some of the lines/pipes didnt get installed or bought. even though I buy 50m lines at a time.
Plus its completely random on which lines do and don't work, sometimes 2-3tiles in a row, sometime even other tile. sometime it works right and builds it all.

In my experience some tasks get abandoned by your workers if they are unable to reach the build site and the order gets deleted/vanished.
No, I mean ones that you currently have sitting in your folders available to load.
oh, I see, tbh I like building the prison and then leaving it... so I'm not sure. But just today i was building a new prison and 3 tiles in a row went missing/didnt get placed.

This is kinda hard to see, but I just spam placed alot of cables and pipes, and got this....
Bottom right corner missing 2 cables.
Bottom left corner missing 1 cable
Top row under small pipes, missing 3 cables
Top right corner missing 1 cable
thats pretty much what im talking about. with the missing cables and pipes.
I did this like 4-5 times before some went missing, and the previous ones i did didnt miss 1. (placed the cables and pipes same way 4-5 times in a row)
