Ally called me to war with mutual rival with liberation war goal. Won the war easily and defender surrendered. Now my capital planet (Earth) shows as being owned by the liberated civ. I have complete control over the planet and it is still listed in under "Planets", but the icon is for the newly liberated civ and clicking on the icon brings me to their diplomacy screen. Not game breaking, but annoying and a bit morale-crushing.
UPDATE: Mousing over the "colonies" box in the diplomacy screen for the liberated civ, then going back to Sol seemed to have fixed it.
