Clients can't connect to hosts, they only get an infinite "Requesting Hot Join" window with a "Back" button, hosts never gets notified of any hot join requests, and client never gets a prompt for password. Tried using Steam invites/joins, even tried manually searching the server list -- hosted game never displayed. Tried this both from hosted game lobby, and after game start; same result in either case.

You are correct. I have exactly the same issue in v.1.0.0 9b5a. My games do not show up in the list and friends cannot hot join when I set a password.

This makes me sad :(.

However what I did see whas this when I sniffed the network traffic;

Apparantly they use STUN (RFC 5389) functionality to bypass NAT devices such as Routers and Firewalls, commonly used in VOIP software as well. However something in the STUN implementation seems to go wrong. Also I do not see why it tries to use STUN when the PCs are both connected to the same Internal LAN segment and litteraly next to eachother on the same switch.

The explaination of the issue can be found here: http://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/stun-details/
Error Code 430 – Stale credentials; the shared secret sent in the request is expired; the client should obtain a new shared secret.

Nonetheless I hope the above may help developers or others when pin-pointing the issue.

Best Regards.
