I noticed ships stuttering around the screen but didn't think anything of it. Finally the game went ape shit while I was messing around with the speed controls and pausing. Sprites went missing, black hole suns emerged, and the game slowly leaked memory and crashed! Yay!

Is this on linux? If so, would you mind checking the graphics memory usage? I know we've had something similar to this in the past bu nothing recently (then caused by resigning over and over without restarting the game).
Thanks!

Is this on linux?

Forgot to mention it was Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 (15E65). What do your guys use for GPU monitoring on OS X?

The game ran perfectly fine for four hours last night. It appeared like the graphics performance was slowing again toward the end but only slightly (and possibly expected).

I also never noticed the same stuttering effect on ships while panning/zooming the star map as I did in my first game. During that game it appeared as if zooming/panning while also moving the cursor over those planetary orbit lines on the star map was causing ships to stutter. Who knows if its related to the leak but I kept that to a minimum and things worked better my second game around.
