Valkyrienet problem

Hi all, so I bought hearts of iron recently and I really would like to play over the net, infortunatly each time I try to go to valkyrienet I have an error message stating that the connection is impossible. I looked through the forums to find an answer and the only hint I got was how to configure the firewall... but I have none. when I look at the settings, the vnet server is europa.valkyrienet.com. is this correct? should I try to put the ip address instead? what is this address? my config is: HOI french version 1.04 athlon 1800 win 98SE adsl 128k HOI is in fact the only game I have problem to play with through the net so I don't think it comes from my computer... thanks
