The latest word from Johan is not encouraging. We may have to wait until Monday when the rest of the Paradox staff return from holiday. Then maybe the problems with the Valkyrie Net server will be finally resolved...

Perhaps some better MP system could be prepared for HoI2... I'm pretty fed-up with constant V-net problems.. I know that the v-net was chosen because it was the cheapest system available, but how about increasing the price of the game in exchange for more MP functionality..? Even a gamespy-like program would do..

The diagnosis now is that the server needs a new hard disk and a replacement has been ordered.

Funny thing is that we have an old(3 years) controller for multiple scsi harddrives on a rack.. so finding a new HD that is compatible with it took quite some time.
