I was playing GC as Bysans earlier today. Everything was going ok, until the game vanished and i was back on the desk. Naturally i was afraid that it was the savegamecrash that had happened. So i went back i tried again. And i could load the autosave. I kept on playing an after a few years it happened again!
I might add that this is rather early in the game 1470-1500 something.

Another funny thing........has it happened to anyone else that in a povince that is controlled by rebels a rebellion occurs?
It is rather conviniant that the rebels lay siege on a province that is already lost though.

The odd crash to desktop ( CTD ) does occur in the game, sometimes they are EU2 problems, sometimes video driver or similar. Each patch does fix more of these, so you should have at least 1.02 applied. Unless you can reproduce the problem it is very hard to fix the specific one you are getting.

It is normal for revolters to happen in a province already controlled by revolters, sometimes. Just think of them as a different group.

Crash to Desktop

I am playing EU II GC as Fra. The games seems to crash every 50 to 60 years of game time, but I have always been able to restart and continue to play. This time, however, every time it hits Jul 1776, the game crashes, even restarting does not work. Every time Jul 1776 hits, crash. I am playing other GC's but not this far along, and I can still play them, so it seems to be specifically related to the American declaration of independence.
Any ideas?

it sounds like a 1.02 problem. Are you on 1.03?

I didn't know there was a 1.03 for the US version of EU II. Where do I get it? I have been watching for a patch, but haven't seen one.

Thanks, I had thought it would be available here, never bothered going to Strategy First.
