I'm not sure if this is related to the actual game itself or Windows, but for some unknown reason, Rome save games are not appearing when I open the "/Europa Universalis - Rome/save games" folder. Windows exporer claims that the folder is empty. However, if I open the actual game, all my saved games are there and playable. I'm using Windows 7, so I expect there to be a few compatability issues with that and Rome. Does Windows 7 store these files elsewhere, other than the main Rome directory? This is annoying as I have no way to delete or edit saved games.

Anyone else have this problem?

If you have UAC turned on or are not running as admin, yes. Vista does this too. It's in a location like c:\Users\[name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III\save games, where [name] is your Vista/Win7 user name.

Excellent! Thank you, my friend! UAC is an absolute pain, especially when trying to alter Rome's *.txt files. I've switched off the UAC and I'm the Admin, but I have to run Notepad as "Run as Administrator" every time! Windows 7 is the most paranoid software ever. Doesn't even trust it's own master!
