Hi all,

Still on my King of Sicily game, and my vassal Duke of Ancona, having a claim on the title King of Germany, pointlessly declares war on them. Since I have usurped the title King of Italy, I decide to join them to try and wrest this title from the Kingdom of Germany. With my troops rampaging up the King of Germany's personal demesne, in possession of five provinces, and the Duke of Ancona in possession of one, Ancona makes peace for this one minor county title. This doesn't create peace between me and Germany, but - for some infuriating reason - it did give back control of all the provinces I'd taken to Germany!!:mad::mad:

What's going on here? If Ancona's peace had applied to me as well, I'd've concluded that, as the initiator of the war, Ancona had concluded a general peace with Germany - but that didn't happen, I was still at war with them, so why were all my captured fortresses handed back?

Cheers,
Stigandr.

If a vassal of you signs a peace, you as the liege will not be at peace.

If you as a liege sign a peace, all your vassal will also be at peace after that.

That all the sieges are reset after your vassals made peace is a known bug.

It's also worth pointing out that if one member of an alliance makes peace, even if it's the "leader" (the person who initiated the war or who was the original target of the war), the other ally is not automatically at peace with the enemy. This is particularly annoying if one of your vassals rebels against you and you want to revassalize him, because even if you win the war and force-vassalize him, he'll still be at war with any ally of yours that originally came to your aid. And God forbid your ally should have a claim on one of your renewed vassal's titles...
