Hi, I'm playing with England and I'm trying to vassalize Prussia. All conditions seem OK. I've +200 relations, royal marriage and the same religion. But if I sent my diplomat the option 'offer vassalisation' isn't lighted. I understand that Prussia can refuse, but WHY I can't do the offer??!?!?!? Phereps Have I to make an alliance before?? I read a post from other guy that had my same proplem with Parma and that guy had the alliance with Parma too.
Anyone can help me???!?!? It's a bug?!?!? grrrrrrrrrr
thanks in advance

Of course... I've the same state religion.

PS before I posted my msg I searched in all forums inserting strings 'vassallize' and then 'vassalisation'.The only thing I've found is that another guy has the same problem vassalizing Parma

Alliance, royal marriage, +190 relations and PEACE. That's about it.

I had much better expirience with anexation and vasalization than you had. With France in GC I anexed vasals without aliance and vasalized countries of diferent religion (Wurtemberg, Brandenburg, Bohemia...etc.)
OK, here is an update: After the Treaty of tolerance all marriages are alowed so after that you can vasalize countries of diferent religion.

er ... do you have a common border? You need that too.

Seems to me the diplomatic annexation route may not always be the way to go from vassalisation. A vassal pays you half their income and always joins your wars (if allied and asked). If you annex you get the other half of their income and their standing army (if any - if they have a big one they're less likely to agree to be annexed) AND a badboy hit!

I have found one other thing - your intended's relations with other countries. Even if you have a royal marriage, alliance, +190 relations and Peace, chances are he will refuse if he has a similarly high or higher relations with another country. I couldn't figure out why Lorraine kept refusing my vassalization proposals but I noticed he had +200 relations with another country. To test out my suspicions, I edited his relations with this other country lower, and sure enough, he accepted my next vassalization proposal
