I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it seems strange.

I had the following sequence of events in my GC:

name = "August 27, 1474 : Cyprus went with Queen Caterina and the Venetians in The Two Queens. "
name = "August 27, 1474 : Venice had The Two Queens of Cyprus . "
name = "August 27, 1474 : Cyprus became Vassals of Venice."
name = "August 27, 1474 : Caterina Cornero rose to the throne in Cyprus."
name = "May 28, 1476 : Cyprus cancelled the Vassalization she had with Venice."
name = "September 6, 1485 : Cyprus accepted peace with Genoa on the following terms : Cyprus pays 18$ in indemnities. "
name = "Cyprus will become a vassal."
name = "September 6, 1485 : Cyprus became Vassals of Genoa."
name = "July 17, 1487 : Cypriot Council * rose to the throne in Cyprus."
name = "February 25, 1489 : Cyprus went with We have no choice but to submit in The Inheritance of Cyprus. "
name = "February 25, 1489 : Venice had The Two Queens of Cyprus . "
name = "February 25, 1489 : Venice annexed Cyprus."

So Cyprus jumped from being Genoa's vassal to being part of Venice, and Genoa doesn't get anything out of it.

I would think the intent of the Cyprus events is to have a sequence where Cyprus is vassalized, then annexed. Shouldn't the inherit event have a trigger that Cyprus must be a vassal of Venice, in the same way that Aragon must be a vassal of Spain for Spain to inherit?

Also, a minor point, there is something wrong with the Cyprus line of succession. The Cypriot Council always takes over in 1487 when they should only take over if Cyprus has chosen Queen Charlotte from Savoy. If the a) option is picked, Queen Caterina of Venice should last until the 1489 inheritance event.

Thank you.

OK< done the first part, added a VASSAL trigger tyo the CYP event.

Frankly for the sake of two years I'm not sure the second part is worth the bother of adding the stuff necessary to create an alternate monarch line :)
