ver 1.07 b Is this the Benelux version?

I purchased a version of EU on E-Bay and the version is ver 1.07 b published by Blackstar (English disk). Is this the Benelux version?
I tried to upgrade to the NA 1.08 and it did not work. I tried the UK 1.08 and got a EU disk not found message. From reading other posts, it sounds like one of the two following options should work:

1) Possibly change the default drive letter to allow the program to access the disk.

2) Download the Benelux 1.08 patch and then download the English version database.

Could an expert out there confirm the above or give me some other advice.

Download and install the Benelux version. There is no need to install the English text files afterwards as the Benelux version is in English.

I have the EXACT same CD. Exact same problem. Your clue helped me solve the problem (well, sortof .. I now KNOW what the problem is but the solution isn't very good).

Anyway, the problem is the mapping of the CD. It wants the drive letter of the CD to be immediately after the Hard Drives

Thanks for the praise. The advice given by Patric worked and I had
no trouble with the 1.08 patch. You may need to try finding a way to have your computer default to the next available drive or directly assign a drive letter. Sorry you're having problems. I am now enjoying the best computer game I have played in many years.
