Hi all,

I am very new to modding and have had only limited success, but no major problems. That all changed a few days ago. I don't have the slightest idea what's going on and am really hoping someone can help me!

I wrote my first (test) event for Albania and played as them until about 1946 with no problems at all. I later created Chechnya and made North Korea selectable in 1936, again, I had no problems and played as them both until the mid 1940's.

The other day, I went into the db folder and opened the file "events.txt" (not the events folder), and wanted to see what would happen if I inserted the line - event = "db/events/prk.txt", as I noticed North Korea had no text file in the events folder. Bad mistake. Ever since then, whenever I load the game as any other country except Albania, I get the message "Database Mismatch (type 7 / id xxxxx ) already used" for 5 events, all of which are my custom Albanian events. This doesn't happen for any of the events I made for Chechnya and North Korea.

I assumed that I'd used a duplicate id so quickly changed them all, but it made no difference. I changed the ID's at least 10 times, even used ID's that I know are definitely free, but they still popped up. Tonight, I went into the events folder and removed all of my custom events from the albania.txt file, and the messages have vanished. The problem is, I now can't write events for Albania because the messages come back. What on earth is going on? I'd really appreciate some feedback on this, thanks for reading if you got this far.

Just a quick update on this guys.

Luckily I saved the events from the albania.txt file before I removed them, and moved them over into the file AI_Other. It seems that they're working again. No error messages, crashes etc.
