Vic3 crashes to desktop on MacOS

Hi,

I have MacBook Pro (16inch) 2024 M4 Max with 64gb ram. I ran Vic3 for about 30-40 minutes, without any mods but with all the new DLCs, playing the Belgium tutorial. However the game crashed with a 'send error message'. After that, every time I play the game, it instantly crashes when I zoom into the maps.

I attach error log files of the first crash and the error log from the next crash. Any guidance on how to get the game to work smoothly is greatly appreciated. Let me know if I can provide any more info.

Also, is it normal that the game put all my fans into full throttle and heated the laptop up? I run heavy duty programs on this laptop everyday for work and first time I have heard these fans were during the 30-40 minutes of playing this game. This is the first game I am playing on the laptop so maybe it is a gaming thing?

In the launcher-game settings menu, disable Vsync and cap the refresh rate to 60. Does that at least help the heating issue, and the startup issue?

Sorry for the late response. Did not get time to play the game.

Tried what you said, disabled Vsync and cap refresh to 60, but the same thing is happening.

Game is crashing the second I try to zoom into the map.

Any idea how to fix this.

Then you probably have a different issue than discussed in this thread, since your symptom seems unrelated.
