some mouse binding key like the front and back button(mouse 4 & 5 ) for some mouse doesn't work in 1.7, it works before but the update aaaaaaa:eek:

Yeah I came here to report the same, this was such a great feature to not have to go near the keyboard or move the mouse.

Funnily it perfectly registers the key when you re-assign it in the controls menu, it just doesn't work in-game...

EDIT: The political lenses shortcuts Shift + 1, Shift + 2 etc. also don't seem to work.

The damage relations diplomatic action does not seem to function properly! As Sardinia Piedmont I've started to damage the relations with Austria, but as the damage relations with Austria bar drained progressively, it blocked at the end and did not damage the relations - and so the relations did not knew any hit and the bar permanently blocked when it became drained - remaining stuck as that. LATER EDIT: The damage relation action against Austria as Sardinia Piedmont started to properly work as the game progressed, but only after I've declared an interest in the region of South Germany (where the austrian capital is) and after that new interest activated! Anyway... I think that we discuss of a bug! Because the damage relations diplomatic action should work even if there is no interested declared in the region were the targeted country has it's capital.

It feels like you believe a player on Russia should suffer.

First.
Pacify the Steppes is literally impossible to successfully complete (calculator confirms).
I was able to decrease Liberty Desire by 0.25 per week in a perfect run (in Orta Zhuz it was ~0.30 because of Support Regime), but usually the decrease was 0.15-0.25 (average 0,2).
There is 10 years or 520 weeks to Pacify the Steppes.
520 × (−0,2) = −104
So it is possible to reduce the Liberty Desire by 104 in 10 years
But Russia needs to use Reduced Autonomy twice for each subject, and that already gives 100 Liberty Desire for the target subject and +20 for others. Totally 120 for each subject. And I only took into count Liberty Desire that are given when the level of autonomy is decrease. And Russia should also take away regions (three times) that will also increase the Liberty Desire.

In one game I managed to almost get close to Pacify the Steppes because I started lowering Liberty Desire right from the start of the game (which is actually inadequate in terms of immersion), but just two years before the end of journal entry Pacify the Steppes, anti-me-lobby spawn in one of the Zhuz (smol one). -0.23 turned into -0.02. Because of one Zhuz and a stupid RNG everything went to hell with no way to fix it.

I understand that this must be difficult to do, but at least make it possible!

Second.
Russia can't win the Great Game. No chance. If you play adequately, of course, and not like a rabid warmonger. It's impossible to beat the British prestige and GDP for Russia. I started a game as Britain and went AFK. Easy win.

UPD: I decided to play it the way PDX intended. I waited for the rebellion of the Kazakhs, saw that they should become my protectorate, but added a couple of states to the diploplay. Defeated the Kazakhs... Some script went off and:
1. The Kazakhs remained independent.
2. I didn't get any states.

Pink face placeholder and NULL_STATE appear briefly after a building has finished construction in Foreign Queues.

If a state changes owner and previous owner ceases to exist (including rebellions it seems) while you're trying to build there you'll get these, and these do not disappear even when reloading the game. They are un-cancellable as well.
Playing as AST, protectorate under GBR, trying to build in colonized British East Africa under constant rebellions.

I have crashes when starting the game. Constantly. Can't even start a new campaign.
have you verified your steam game files? Also a post in the tech-support might help with CTD starting issues.

Publishing a Known Issues list is proper and professional, so I'm happy we've got this post. But as someone who wants to see V3 thrive, I'm concerned that the Steam-review-writing masses (who haven't reached the Literacy threshold needed to read this post) are going to be unhappy when they encounter a release with this many visible bugs.

Also, commiserations to the dev team, who have no doubt worked hard on this and tried to avoid this situation by postponing the launch.
While transparency is great, releasing an update/dlc that makes the (existing) game unplayable is not. The poor reviews are well deserved. This is a common pattern with Paradox and as a paying! player it just frustrates me. I came back to this game after the botched initial release (yes, tons of bugs at release...), just to see this play out all over again.... I feel for the devs... I am sure they were aware, that 1.7 shouldn't have been released in it's current state.

If you liked the game the way it was the way before, you are free to roll back to the last version. But grab any mods you like quickly, and save them offline, before they are updated.

Konnichiwa and welcome to the Paradox forums, Weorick-san and hyDRAAA!
The game started after the upgrade (from the previous latest version) with this broken map.
Can I hope it would be fixed, so I can continue my campaign?
To continue a previous save, you need to roll back to the previous version, using the instructions here.

If you were playing with mods, you need to copy them to another bit of your hard drive ASAP and reinstall them as local mods (instructions are on the wiki). Otherwise they will be updated to work with 1.7 and won't work with your old version.
Mouse 4/5 hotkeys stopped working this patch. It allows you to rebind any action to those keys and it displays as normal, but game does not react when you press it.
QA have confirmed that they are aware of this in a post in the main forum.

Note that in the settings menu it still detects mouse 4/5 (so at least some part of the game is seeing those button pushes), but yeah hitting them doesn't do the thing they are assigned to.

Regarding the cursor flickering at main menu issue, does anyone else besides also have that continue to happen in game, it is killing my eyes.
It was not only at main menu for me, on the global map as well.

I don't know where to report, so will write here:
Scrolling the list of diplomatic interactions didn't work for me.

P.S.
I like the DLC, wish you good luck and sales

correct for me also in game, ALT TAB out of the game then back in fixes it for me.
