Short summary of your issue
Game crashes on startup, I tried varifying doing a million fixes, updated my drivers uninstalled and reinstalled a ton, and changed the files around to no avail, I get to start on the launcher press it get to the loading screen then instantly crash.

I would assume the newest one as I bought the game and installed it today.

Game crashes on startup, I tried verifying doing a million fixes, updated my drivers uninstalled and reinstalled a ton, and changed the files around to no avail, I get to start on the launcher press it get to the loading screen then instantly crash.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Every time I launch the game from the launcher it crashes.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I am able to play the game when I launch it as a beta in any version at 1.2.7 or lower. So I am able to play, just not the new version of the game.

Hi! Our team has asked the programmer department to help with identifying the cause of your CTD. We'll let you know once we have any information!

Our programmers have looked into the logs, but sadly the minidumps did not contain any workable information :/ I'll move the thread to the Tech Support forum, as there is not much that our team can do with this particular CTD report.

Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.


If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Basically, in my case, I just needed to enable AVX in cmd - you can check how to do it in that quora link provided by PDX employee
