Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I have installed the game on my PC and when I try and run the game on steam it attempts to load the launcher and produces the error code seen bellow and asks me to reload the launcher. I have verified and reinstalled the game several times and the EU4 version of the launcher does launch so it’s just Vicky 3.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Just try and launch the game.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
I have attached a photo of the error code and ‘further details’ on the launcher failing to launch.

General Error


We were unable to parse the launcher settings file. Settings. formatVersion should be integer. Settings. formatVersion should be equal to constant. Make sure you have a valid configuration and try again.

I had that error and it ended up being the launcher updating in the background after a couple of minutes for me an alert popped up saying update available restart launcher. I restarted the launcher and it works.

Yes, if you try to close out the launcher it should warn that you have an ongoing update. So keep it open until you see the notification

I saw another bug report with the exact same problem that said you needed to change the launcher option from 1.1 to 1 and it works so that’s what I did
