Hi all,
I am getting a large amount of graphical stuttering whenever I move the cursor around the screen or try to select or highlight a button. It also causes my Mumble server to lag as well if I am using it while trying to play. It happens only with this game, and even if I have no other software running. The sound in game is fine, its purely a graphical issue.

The graphical lag is actually causing the game to be unplayable for me. Any ideas or anyone else having any problems like this?
I have a Windows 7 machine well above the recommended specs, and a 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 555. I believe I have the most recent drivers for it.

I was able to make it a little better when I enabled AA and multisampling.

Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this.

You could try and turn off the trees in the configuration file and see if this fixes the problem. Details on how to do this can be found here. Also, if you haven't already done this, download and install the latest Nvidia drivers (from here). If you have older drivers, this might make a substantial difference in the game's performance.

If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows 7, the direct download link for your card's drivers is here: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-64bit-285.62-whql-driver-uk.html

If you're using a 32-bit version of Windows 7, the latest version for the 5xxer cards can be found at: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-32bit-285.62-whql-driver-uk.html

When you install them and it asks you whether you want the express install or the custom one, make sure to go for the custom option and select "perform clean install". This will properly remove the previous drivers. :)

I have the exact same problem you discribe in CK2 and Sengoku but I found a way to make it run butter smooth.

1. Launch CK2 all the way past launcher window.
2. Then do ctrl+alt+del to task manager.
3. Click processes tab.
4. Right click ck2.exe and select "set Affinity", then make sure only CPU 0 is checked.
5. Alt-Tab back into game.
6. Butter smoothness.

The game seems to have a problem with some multicore processors. I had stutters even when time was paused and not panning. I would have to click and click on a button until the interface stopped stuttering and the button became active. But those steps should fix it.

PS You have to do this everytime you launch the game unless you use some third party program like prifinity or something.
