Okay, I have (what appears to be) a serious problem here.
I was modding EU2 as always last night, and started the game to see if my changes had successfully taken effect... only to find the second loading screen freeze and when I pressed CTRL + ALT + DEL, I got an error message saying I was out of Virtual Memory.
This worries me as it's never happened before. I'd been running the PC most of the day - but this is still not something I've come across in years - and I have 512MB memory (assuming that makes a difference to virtual memory somehow?) and yet I got this message and was slightly shocked.
So I rebooted the PC this morning... same problem. Twice, in fact.
I pressed CTRL + ALT + DEL again to see my system screen and the equalizer was not existent, meaning I had plenty of memory life... I started the game and got to the shield select screen and it was a little equalizer, so I still had plenty of memory left.
I try and load the game and look at the screen again... it's on overload and it freezes and then gives me that message again...
What the hell is wrong? I've never had this problem here (well, on this PC) and I certainly run games far more demanding that EU2 alright.
I don't know why this has happened... can anyone please help me?
Thanks,
James
