Vision Quest Unfair Trade

I just finished the Vision quest, and wow... did anyone take the Ageless Child's deal? Cause that was the most unfair trade I've ever stumbled into. So he takes one of my heroes (for 2 yrs no less), in exchange for "weakening" the Unseelie by... wait for it... 2 lousy units. And not only that, but you can't even add those units to your forces before the battle, so I'm left to fight one of the hardest battles up to this point with a crippled army.

Tell me, was this a scam or what? If I could get back to that island, I'd kick that smarmy kid's butt for screwing me over like this...

The "taken" hero gets some not bad skill advancements when he returns.

I gave him Sir Kay, all I got was +2 magic and a few XP. Does a Sage get any new spells, if I send one instead? I remember I got Lightning on Sir Gareth in another quest this way... had him stay with some faerie lady for 2 yrs.

I think not; but 2 magic points early in the game are not bad for a sage and are even better for a champion - they need a lot of spell points for Cleave and such.

I am completely with you on this one -- the "deal" is a scam galore!
