Vista problems

Originally in OT, as it affects more than just CK, but anyway...
I recently got a laptop with Vista on it an dsoon put CK on it. The game itself works fine, but when I download DVIP, I can't find the files. I can see that they are there when chosing which file to download into, but for some reason Vista doesn't show .zip or .rar files. Atm it's doing the exact same thing with another mod. I'm guessing there is someway to change this but I have no idea what it is. Any help?

Where did you install CK ? And where did you put your downloaded files ?

With Vista it is best to not install games in C:/program files, but its better to install them in C:/games or something similar.
