Mikhel, Diary
I CANT BELIEVE IT! Guzman ze Pious is now the papal "honoured one" in poltical terms it means Guzman is the Papal Controller. Maybe i should tell the pope he screwed a pretty wench (which i supplied him

). Or that Guzman has a enourmous "erhm" appeitite and already has three children (1 son who loves pie and two daughters who dont like anything age 1 and 1 and 3 months) with his wife, Jimena. Well, Meanwhile, Guzman has been busy. Some knight came from Illes de France to work in our glourious court (for my contested companionship of course), he is well... Exceptionally skilled in military. Guzman decided that he was such a great general that within one day, boom! hes our marshall.
Rest a sured Anarchist! there was war. The knights of Sevilla were beaten by Cadiz and Cadiz stormed their castle. We must speak of that later..
Granada 1067
Marshall Fernard walked passted me in the dusty Granada sun, past Jimena, to Guzman. "Milord" said Fernard, " The armies of the Infidels approach, they number 674 strong, with 200 light cavalry and 100 horse archers, should we not reconsider and pull back into Cordoba? Look to the South! See you not their metal shields and blood dyed swords? Behold! See our own force, only 524 strong, with spears aplenty yet horse lacking. Would you risk your Cordobian countrymen?" Pretty, yet arachic, those frenchies talked very
weird
"Marhsall Fernard" replied Guzman " Dont EVER question my judgement, i am the Count of Cordoba, Granada, and Murcia, I have made my plans, so let us discuss them." rolling out a map, Guzman pointed to the two hills on either side of the city. these extend 1 mile to the south, and the city blocks the entire northern approach, so the enemy must enter through the southern gap. If we hide out 100 horses on the left side and heavy infantry on the right, these mountains will conceal them. Meanwhile, the other forces will be in the middle and will lure the Infidels in." Masterful plan, atleast to me.
"But Sire!" objected Fernado, "This will leave us no retreat point.
Not even looking up, Guzman replied, "then if we lose, let us die".
Speak for yourself Ice-cold A--.
I watched from the walls of Granada. The Infidels commenced the battle when, confronted with what seem like a rabble of light peasants, charged their whole army ahead. It went by quicky. The Infidels didnt spy the horse and infantry in the mountains and were soon confronted with a cavalry and heavy infantry charge on the flanks and rear along with their front covered by archers and determined peasants. The Infidels broke, but not one soldier got away. The pride of Malaga and Almeria broke that day with men that had their jewels mutilated and children cutting off heads as souvenirs. Always disloyal to his wife, Guzman commandeered the former General's wives and daughters for himself. The Rape of the Infidel's wives followed.
Such delightful women! I had the daughters and wives after His Excellency. You can never regret a good time! We march now to Almeria, Loyal to Guzman till the last man falls. Let the Galaxy drown in It's Blood
