Wassup guys! This is my first AAR, so i dont know if this will be good.

Im using Kaigon's independent Crusader Scenario for this (ICS).

Prologue:
History of Iberia

In 1050, the year of our Lord, Europe and Infidel East splintered into seperate counties, each count with his own claims to dukedoms and kingdoms. In 1050, The year of our Lord, a child was born along with the Count of Cordoba, his name was to be Mikhel Sevilla (fictional character, zee handsome smart protagonist!), Future Prime Minister of Aragon, Portugal, Castile, and Jerusalem, Prime Minister of the Cordobian Empire.

This is the story of the baby alongside Mikhel, The heir of Cordoba.

Viva la Aragon! Viva la Cordoba! Viva la Handsome, Smart Mikhel! ;)

Mikhel will be first person in this, which means this is a first person narrative or something like that

Damn those Rebels! They dare destroy this great Empire of Guzman's? God Dammit! It was so great, me and Guzman, our rise to power from Prime Minister and Count to Emperor and... Prime Minister. Ah, you must know the story first, it starts long ago, before the Crusades, before the Rise of the True Emperor. It starts on a night of drinking and cheering. It starts on January First 1066.

JANUARY 1066

I was walking down the hall, my proud handsome form struck by a extreme hangover. Me and Guzman were hobbling down the hall, complaining about our hangovers, when we barged into the three members of Guzman's court, Jimena, (7 S) Steward, Ansuro (9 Dip) Chancellor. and Fransico (6 In) Spy Master.

"Your Excellency! THIS IS HORRIBLE! The Sheikdoms of Malaga, Grenada, and Almeria are at war with us! Even your father's money, prestige, and piety cant handle this one!" Did i mention that Guzman inherited 50,000 Gold coins, ALOT of respect from other counts (10k prestige) and... Guzman has always been zealous (dont tell anyone but im a heretic ;) God is not true, God is dead). Guzman, well he just looks up, says "Rally the troops, War the infidels want, War they get." That settles it, we take on 3 Sheikdoms at once, Guzman, a brown haired 16 year old kid vs 3 powerful sheikdoms, this sounds so easy...

Iberia is always a fun playground. Welcome to AAR writing and good luck! :)

*tells the spanish inquisition about you*
*finds out they didn't exists in 1066*
*damn*

You against 3 sheikdoms!
Too unfair for the poor arabs! :(

I plan to make it so there is no Inquisition, but unfourtunately Guzman, Count of Cordoba, is very religious. And he will have a future of conquering Sheikdoms. ICS makes Iberia REALLY fun to play in with huge claims and stuff, although Cordoba is in Castile, Ill just say its in Aragon. :p

Historic Nationalie La Aragon EDITION 5

In 1066 Year of our Lord, Guzman the Pious, Count of Cordoba, was engaged in a War between the three Sheikdoms of Almeria, Malaga, and Granada. Christians in Iberia all watched the "Spoiled Count" a nickname given to Guzman because of his extremely high inheritance. Other Aragonese Counts hoped to intervene and take Guzman's County when he was crushed by combined Muslim might.

At first it looked like the Muslims would win. They quickly manuevered their armies into Cordoba and arrived outside Castle Cordoba. But during this time, due to the ingenius manueverings of Prime Minister Mikhel and the building of a training camp before the war, a army of 993 soldiers fought a equal sized army and triumphed at the battle of Cordoba, Manuevering quickly, Guzman arives in Granada and quickly wins the battle of Desert Well, where he performs a ingenius manuever and annihaltes the Infidel army in a 663 vs 993 battle, where he is outnumbered. This is the first time that he showed ingenius tactical commands and soon became famous for know-how on military matters. Granada is sieged and annexed quickely. This battle in Granada convinced Sevilla to join the war on Cordoba's side, which caused a outraged Murcia and Cadiz (cheated out of the spoils of a Muslim Victory) to join the Infidel side. Murcia and Cadiz rally a enourmous force of 1368 and attack 483 troops under Guzman. Guzman loses this battle but returns to Cordoba, ready to fight when bolstered by miltia troops. Guzman decides to seize Murcia's title and uses his 650 troops to take out Murcia's 544 in the Battle of Granada. Murcia is rocked into debt and ruin by this war, so when Mikhel walks in with annexation, there is no debate. Cadiz, busy sieging Sevilla, agrees to a truce. Now Guzman turns his eyes to the Infidels.

Deus Vult! Vaya con Dois! Viva la Guzman!

Kaigon's ICS is a great mod. Good luck! :)

(And how about some screenshots? :D)

sorry about screenshots for now, my computer is weird right now, even getting on the game is hard. Sleep easy though, these battles were real. (dont ask how he won, it was a miracle)

I believe you. I just like pictures. :)

NOTE SCREENSHOTS: I dont know why, but the normal buttons for screenshots arent working. Anyone tell me why? (windows vista!< crappy)

Mikhel, Diary

I CANT BELIEVE IT! Guzman ze Pious is now the papal "honoured one" in poltical terms it means Guzman is the Papal Controller. Maybe i should tell the pope he screwed a pretty wench (which i supplied him :p ). Or that Guzman has a enourmous "erhm" appeitite and already has three children (1 son who loves pie and two daughters who dont like anything age 1 and 1 and 3 months) with his wife, Jimena. Well, Meanwhile, Guzman has been busy. Some knight came from Illes de France to work in our glourious court (for my contested companionship of course), he is well... Exceptionally skilled in military. Guzman decided that he was such a great general that within one day, boom! hes our marshall.

Rest a sured Anarchist! there was war. The knights of Sevilla were beaten by Cadiz and Cadiz stormed their castle. We must speak of that later..

Granada 1067

Marshall Fernard walked passted me in the dusty Granada sun, past Jimena, to Guzman. "Milord" said Fernard, " The armies of the Infidels approach, they number 674 strong, with 200 light cavalry and 100 horse archers, should we not reconsider and pull back into Cordoba? Look to the South! See you not their metal shields and blood dyed swords? Behold! See our own force, only 524 strong, with spears aplenty yet horse lacking. Would you risk your Cordobian countrymen?" Pretty, yet arachic, those frenchies talked very
weird

"Marhsall Fernard" replied Guzman " Dont EVER question my judgement, i am the Count of Cordoba, Granada, and Murcia, I have made my plans, so let us discuss them." rolling out a map, Guzman pointed to the two hills on either side of the city. these extend 1 mile to the south, and the city blocks the entire northern approach, so the enemy must enter through the southern gap. If we hide out 100 horses on the left side and heavy infantry on the right, these mountains will conceal them. Meanwhile, the other forces will be in the middle and will lure the Infidels in." Masterful plan, atleast to me.

"But Sire!" objected Fernado, "This will leave us no retreat point.

Not even looking up, Guzman replied, "then if we lose, let us die".

Speak for yourself Ice-cold A--.

I watched from the walls of Granada. The Infidels commenced the battle when, confronted with what seem like a rabble of light peasants, charged their whole army ahead. It went by quicky. The Infidels didnt spy the horse and infantry in the mountains and were soon confronted with a cavalry and heavy infantry charge on the flanks and rear along with their front covered by archers and determined peasants. The Infidels broke, but not one soldier got away. The pride of Malaga and Almeria broke that day with men that had their jewels mutilated and children cutting off heads as souvenirs. Always disloyal to his wife, Guzman commandeered the former General's wives and daughters for himself. The Rape of the Infidel's wives followed.

Such delightful women! I had the daughters and wives after His Excellency. You can never regret a good time! We march now to Almeria, Loyal to Guzman till the last man falls. Let the Galaxy drown in It's Blood

Printscreen button, then open Paint, hit Paste and adjust as needed.

Sorry, but due to unforseen difficulties (I got Halo 3!!), i must be taking time to erm.. T-bag. To give you a summary:

Guzman conquers ALmeria and malaga then takes the whole Iberia, moves on to Jerusalem, Syria, Tunisia, Naples, and France (and weirdly Russia). Guzman's Empire then falls apart due to the fact that i gave vassals too much land apiece. The Rebels take out my Empire. Guzman dies in combat and everything falls apart when his incompetent son takes over (4 military skill....) So i must abandon this AAR

Agh! Disaster! Good luck in Halo 3, though. :)
