Vnet problems

i just adquired vicky a week ago, since then i had installed pacth 3.0c, i have never got into valkyrie net since i got a dsl router, not even in europa universalis II, neither Hearts of iron. :rofl:

whenever i trie to go into valkyrienet in europa universalis its says attemptim to conect failed and keeps trying to conect, in hearts of iron whe it attemps to conect fail, the game crash and get me to desktop, in victoria it does the same, and it freza sometimes whend i click valkyrie net on the multiplayer menu.

i think it may be the ports

but, whenever i trie to open a port for my router, (e.g port TCP 2300) the page freze and i cannot get in the page for one day. :wacko:

can someone help me?

is there any program that open and closes ports faster?

by the way i alredy opened ports for cossaks and for black and white, thats 30 or 40 ports

do you have zone alarm installed?

that might casue the computer to freeze when paradox games try to connect to the net.

no, i have mcaffe firewall but victoria is full access to it

i have an adsl router speedstream 5660, i made to open some ports but only 68 of them, thats the max i can open don´t know why. after that i started searching and reading about my router in the net, i found that its set up by default to block all inbound info through the ports and allow all outbound. so i just allowed ip filtering and put two rules. one that allows all inbound and one that allows all outbound.
then i closed all programs, and tried to join a cossacks game, i made it!!! i coulnt believed it, so i proceded to get victoria to work, then whend i got into vnet it crashed againd and got me to the desktop i have no more ideas left

Also give access to Micrsoft direct play helper.

If I were you I'd get rid of Mcafee and download Zonealarm, give Victoria.ex and the direct play helper access and of you go.
