Void dwellers growing pops with negative trait

Since I colonized a relic world from precursor event (80 habitability) I got pops with a red icon and - 60% pop growth.

I assume it happened when settling on a planet? But is this intended for special planets with high habitability? And it seems some habitats start growing the pops with negative perk sometimes.

Yes this is intended. However, they shouldn't be prioritized for growth on habitats, or at least I haven't experienced it with my current game, since it would slow pop growth.

This should happen on every planet besides ecumenopolis, ring world and gaia iirc. However that species should not grow on habitats.

The trait still appears when settling Gaia. Not sure about the others yet

I settled on a relic from precursors (fen hab 3) which can be converted to ecumenopolis. Is relic world exempt or should it be on the colonizable list like the ones you mentioned?
