Poland is huge, I don't think the Bohemians will be so daring next time :D

The png images are OK for me, they are not that big (you can always scale them down if you post a really big one). Paint is quite bad at converting to jpg, have you tried other programs to do the conversion?

aldriq: Bohemia is actually gone. In CK, if you can occupy all of your opponent’s land, you can take their highest title along with any vassals they have. So the Kingdom of Poland is also the Kingdom of Bohemia until someone steals away one title or the other through war or if Poland decides to give the Kingdom of Bohemia to one of its court members.

But there is risk in being so large... its easy to fall apart if you’re not careful. ;) But I want Poland to be strong right now. Actually, I'm more surprised that Byzantium is still hanging in there. In almost all my games they fall apart pretty quick.

I’m just starting to get the hang of paint, moving to anything else would completely screw me up.

To all: To those who may have not noticed, there’s a map on the previous page toward the bottom. And to those who haven’t checked it since I placed it, I added a Germanic map, noting the notable duchies and kingdoms surrounding Meissen.

I don't know if I mentioned this yet or not, but if you don't want to go through the thread's pages looking for the latest update or if you're catching up, there's an index on the first post.

Judas Maccabeus: Pope Odo is not a nice man to the Weimars. Three days after his father dies the Pope excommunicates the son. Where’s the compassion?

I proved to myself that I could escape the excommunication with Ulrich II but Lower Lorraine isn’t getting any smaller and my titles are dirt cheap again. I don’t feel safe in the world but with a maximum limit of ten provinces, I don’t expect it to be easy at any time in this game.

aldriq: And when being well-groomed was also very low on the list. ;)

Enewald: That’s the spirit!

gabor: They should. One is new so relations with him haven’t dropped too far yet and the other, in Krain, is a blood relative meaning a slow drop in relations. Its just a matter of time until they start to rebel.

Indeed, being well-groomed in those days meant to have your armour cleaned more often than your underwear... I guess Eberhard's first wife didn't agree with that order

And Poland isn't worried about Papal opinion on the Weimars?

Enewald: I don’t like going into debt even if it is acceptable. And Poland should have moved their troops in much sooner! I knew they’d get to it sooner or later. So yes, the Poles saved the German.

Building a castle is one of my early game objectives. For now it’s the small economic stuff but castles are on my to do list. I’m going to need manpower if I ever want to break from Poland and try to fight the big bad German Duchies on my own.

aldriq: I suppose living on the fringes allows you that luxury. And after fighting that three-front war between Bohemia, Kiev and Polotsk, I’d say they don’t have too much to worry about except infighting... at least until Mr. Khan decides to arrive.

Judas Maccabeus: Excommunications are killer.

Enewald: Yup. Can’t remember what the other option though but I’d rather start off with a four year old kid than someone who’d probably be excommunicated for the next thirty or forty years.
