creating count title problem, and stuff. bug-aar

hii

i wanted to post a bug which i found no duplicate of.
but since i found it VERY difficult to explain, i make it with many screenshots.
so welcome to the first real BUG-AAR ^^
(i hope it is the first..., and hope it was not mentioned already.)

i resized the screenies to 800x600 (shame you cant change resolution ingame :( want to play at 800x600 cos of performance ) and enlarged the writing between the pics.
on the pics points of interest are highlighted.

/edit changed some things, since a count cant have counts as vasalls of course.
thx to duuke

the (complicated)situation:
ck version 1.02

-started as count of El Bierzo
-killed the first son of the count of "asturias de san". ("ADS")
-married the daughter(now the only child)
of the count of asturias de san.
-got a male heir, who died few weeks after that..
-got another male child-> heir of me, and the count of ADS
(semisalic primogeniture, child of his daughter)
-the count of ADS died, my 2 week old son inherited ADS.
-my son died 4 days later, i became count of ADS.
-saved game.
-ate something. (ok unimportant... ;])
-loaded game.
-capital moved to ADS (WAD, was richer* [more rich? *sp*])

now to the bug thing:
i cant give the title of "count of el bierzo" to anyone:(bug?)
ck-bugp01.jpg

i can give away the title of count of ADS,
my capital moves to el berizo. (WAD)

ck-bugp02.jpg

i CAN create a bishopric of el beriezo
(WAD.... or bug if there is a reason why i cant create a count title for it...):

ck-bugp03.jpg

and i can create the bishopirc of ADS:
ck-bugp04.jpg

if i create the bishopric of el berizo, things get worse....
after creating it, it stays one of my provinces(bug?), although my demense changes to 1.
the designated bishop is a count(bug?), he has no land, no stewards(etc), but my court. (a whole big bug collection?!?)
[two screens of the same situation]

ck-bugp06b.jpg

-------------
thats it....
any questions? :]

i am posting screenies already, so look at this:
http://www.8ung.at/wontellu/ckbug/ck-bugp00.jpg[/IMG]]another screenie
its a screen (from another game) of the year 1070, where the german king was conquered by slurpsk, and accepted white peace.
slurpsk kept his land (WAD) and the title king of germany, burgundy(?) and italy vansihed.
he got conquered by 300 troops, while about 2000 troops of his vasalls just stood there.
i know this has been posted though.... :]

i posted WAD behind things i know that they are WAD, and "bug?" behind things that might be bugs....

You're a count. You can't have vassals. So when you create a county (which it really shouldn't let you do) their liege will be your liege.

The only bug here is that you have the option at all.

AFAIK, if you grant a title with the same rank as yourself (aka a Duke creating a Dukedom, a Count creating a County, a King creating a Kingdom), then the title thus granted does not become your vassal. Cos A King can't be the vassal of another King, and thus on down through all the ranks.

Same with creating a Bishopric if you're a Count - you can't be it's leige, as a Bishopric is the equal of a Count in Rank (in terms of who can control who anyway).

i can create a count title, i can give my daughter one.
i forgot that i cant have vasalls as count, so thats ok and no bug then.

but i see no reason why i cant grant the title of count of el bierze, while i can can create a bishopric of el bierze.

and the thing that that bishopric does not "really" exists is a bug right?

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to create a bishopry as a count, what a better way to gain piety than to make a bishopry that is independent?

The bishopry being as it was is a bug, but is that easier to reproduce? For instance does it happen all the time when you create a bishopry as a count?

it does not happen everytime.
i can appoint a bishop to ADS at any time, and it works.

perhaps it has to do with starting as a count.
perhaps its not inteded to give away your startprov as count?

sorry for doublepost.... *push*

i could reproduce it.
if you start a game as one province count, and aquire a 2nd province, you get the "grant title" option.
you can grant the title of that 2nd province, but not of your starting province.
you can however create a bishopric in your starting province, your capital moves, but you still keep your homeprovince.
the bishop is also listed as count, and does nothing.....

WAD as far as I am concerned...

No it's not.

Even as a Count, you may want to create count title for your son.
