Infrastructure and strength loss - fixed in 1.07?

I still had not enough time to test 1.06 detailed - I'll start a game after I post this thread btw. After all I read, 1.06 seems to be a great improvement to this already fantastic game.

But there is one thing that still defnately needs rework:
It's the fact that you lose strength (I don't mind about the supplies, but the valuable manpower!) when being in provinces with a maximum infra < 33 unless you have a direct line to your capital. German troops in northern finland for example simply lose strength without being attacked!?

Whywhywhy?

I'd stop complaining about this if someone could explain this logically to me... :(

it´s WAD.

Would you please explain this?

I do not understand WHY troops can survive in low infrastructure provinces if they have a land connection to their capital, but they will die if they do not have a land connection to their capital.

What does that have to do with supplying an army in the 20th century?

Ahhhh, finallys John Heidle shows up!

I was already afraid something happened to you because you didn't give a comment on our great pain , the direct-line-to-capital-rule ;)

Because some countries have ONLY low infrastructure national provinces. Like buthan for example. It would be impossible for them to make any divisions because they would just die. Saudi Arabia is another good example. Almost all of that country is low infrastructure. It makes sense that they should be better able to survive in their own provinces.

Of course this makes sense. What makes totally no sense is the fact that their allies would die by simply sitting in the same provinces. Even an Expedition Force sent to Bhutan or Saudi Arabia would die in these provinces.

You're missing the point of this thread. There is a big difference between countries without or without a land connection to their capital in low infrastructure provinces. A German unit in a 20 infra Soviet Union province will have no problems if it can trace a land connection back to it's capital, while a Japanese unit in the same province will die because it can not trace a land connection back to its (offshore) capital.

Since the new 'trace back to supply source' rule in 1.06 has replaced the simplistic direct line to capital rule, there should be an accompanying change to how <33 infra affects everyone.
