Republics never accept revocation of title

It seems that if you somehow get a republic as your vassal, it is either impossible or extremely hard to revoke a title from it. I tried five times in one game and they always refused despite being at 100 loyalty and me having a claim on the province in question. This may be WAD, but it'd be nice to get some official confirmation.

It can somewhat be justified by some historical occurances, although not fully. But as it's somewhat controversial I wouldn't want to report this as a bug with loads of more obvious bugs around waiting for fixing.

Odd, I've successfully managed to get a republic vassal to give up a county on the first try.

Maybe I was just unlucky...

i also managed to vassalize ragusa in my last game, and revoke the republic at my first request.

i think the size influences more than government type
