Students who never seem to graduate.

Version 1.01

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet but, I've had several incidents where a 35+ year old person has had the education selection event. Seems a bit weird. :)

ive also had it happen that children never gain the option or never graduate.
.. maybe its a % chance?

If a person 'receiving education' is over 20 there are some weird restrictions in the files (I call it a bug.. though I've not seen a 100% confirm of this).

If I remember correctly, these will work :

Men
----
All Ecclastical Educations
Only the first (poorest) Martial

That means, for example, that if you select Court Education for a random_dynasty guy over 20 he will never "graduate". And if you select Martial, he'll always end up as a Misguided Warrior.

Women
-------
none of the Educations

So, an uneducated older woman will stay just that.

The easy fix or tweak for this is to remove the 'not age 20' condition from these events in the character_development_events.txt file in the db/events folder.

Hmmm...

Then I think Johan & Co should consider making a special Trait, and a special education event for the >30 years old random blokes, and put in the age = 20 restriction for all the normal educations. Something like "Man of the World" or "Self-educated"..

Illogical was the word I was going to go for, I think.

If the constraints on age in the education traits events won't be removed, shouldn't the initial education events be removed from the country cousin courtiers completely?
