I have stock CORE 50 over AoD 1.07 (Steam if that matters) but I never see any SS divisions when a player is Germany. The "Appoint Himmler" event fires in 1936, the LSAH gets formed in 1939 and militarized soon after, but I never get any more divisions. I followed the usual historical path (Anschluss, Treaty of Munich, Molotov-Ribbentrop, Invasions of everyone).

I remember that it worked in the RC and in CORE 49, and I see the events firing when I play against an AI Germany (i.e. "Germany went with "form the division!" in formation of the 128th SS Freewill Florian Geber Das Reich Blah Blah *man these Krauts have long names* Blah Division").

Is this working as designed? I'm looking at the core_SS file and I'm no programmer but I don't see any reason it would work for AI but not players.

Thanks!

Heh - yes, you must have an SS minister in the ruling cabinet to get any further SS units. The assumption is that otherwise, the SS is no longer powerful enough politically to get the equipment and priority that allows it to form units outside the normal build sequence.
