For those of you are interested in seeing Paradox take a stab at Middle Ages history but don't want to wait for Crusader Kings, I have what you are looking for.

Allow me to introduce you to your oeuvres before the CK main course, two fun and addictive games set during the Middle Ages. Both are recent releases, and Crown of the North even includes EU II for those of you who missed out the first time (yes, both of you) or may have misplaced their old copy.

-Crown of the North
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...72456/sr=11-1/ref=sr_11_1/002-7995823-3694468

-Two Thrones
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...995823-3694468?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846

Both are only twenty dollars, having a charming medevial flavor, and will provide you with hours of fun until CK comes out. They might just even give us a hint of some of the things we can expect to see in CK. Best of all, they give you a chance to support Paradox after Victoria's less than spectacular performance. So, what are you waiting for? Order both of them!

And of course these links do NOT mention you as the referer and do NOT make sure that you get 10 percent or whatever from every purchase made through theses links ... cute ...

IMO, it's just a little publicity for Paradox games and nothing else.

Like anyone in these forums would not know about them...

But they do seem to get mostly negative press in the forums, from what I gather. It's a valid point -- they may not be as good as CK will be, but they cost less. It's something to do, and it pushes Paradox games up the sales rank.
I'd get them if I had money. I may once I do.

Actually they do not, but charming of you to assume so.

Unfortunately those games don't really sound like my cup of tea... I'd actually prefer to simply give Paradox some money directly rather then buy a game I'd hardly play (and they wouldn't get much money from my purchase anyway if I remember correctly... :( )

Yea, these are just a little out of what I am looking for...but, hell, I still play Vic and Hoi..evne EU1 sometimes.

I'll admit to being tempted to getting Two Thrones at one point but after reading about the gross over simplification in it and the lack of much to do I doubt I'll bother. If anything the comments in these forums have put me off rather than any reviews (which I tend to take with a pinch of salt anyway).

COTN was fun for err a couple hours, so thx I will wait for CK

Btw wassup with the 10% commission !?

Oh. Well, in that case, I'll have to take a look at it. Might be worth getting both of them...
