If you have the scandinavian retail CD and have had problems with CtD's when trying to chat in MP, drop me an email at johan@paradoxplaza.com

Johan do you even have access to the North American release? Let me know if you need a CD image.

I got a few NA retail cd's. And it works fine for me, and I dont get the chat-ctd.

The reason why I want people with the scandinavian is that I can make new versions with copy-protection enabled for them on the fly, while I can't for NA.

So until someone with a scandinavian version and the chat-ctd contacts me, I can't fix it, nor test if my guesses are correct.

http://www.europa-universalis.com/f...7250#post497250 says:

"I've had this bug in all 1.01 player games, all 1.02 player games, all 1.03 player games, and all 1.04 player games. (By all I mean everyone has that version, not that it always happens).

Just say something at the start of the game when you're not host... you'll crash the instant you press tab."

However that thread seems to be all NA players. At least there is a definite thing to test.

Looking over every thread I can see, every single case seems to be with the NA version. Looks to me like that is the missing variable. What I don't understand is why that should make a difference? Isn't it only the CD Security code that is different? Or (sudden thought) the version or language used in Windows? What if Windows is set to US English or region?

Nope, don't think so. I'm playing regularly with spanish and french players who had the NA SF version, and we have had some CCTDs now and then

Anyway, if any swedish-version player has got the CCTD, should all fingers point to SF (again) or what? :)

I wonder what will happen with the (inminent?) Ubi release. I will get my spanish version of this game, apart from the US one. And guess what would I do in my first MP game? press the chat key like hell and see what happens...(furthermore, we spanish players like to chat long when playing MP games; it's very painful to have to remain silent while playing :))
