1) If I win a war with Peru (for example), will I get my lost prestige from the DoW back?

2) Why did mobilizing and reinforcing my military cost me 1000 pounds? This is at game start as the US, allying with Texas

3) Why does Mexico have such a large military at game start? Is it historical, as it is more than enough to beat Texas and hold off the US at game start, which seems odd. Or was it a game balance decision?

Just poking around Vicky R while waiting on 2 patches and some more dev diarys.

edit: is there any form of history function so you can see how much of what was bought in the last week / month so you know where your money went?

1. It depends on what warscore you can achieve and what you will claim in the peace treaty. If you demand a couple of provinces, you will get less prestige, however if you demand nothing with a high warscore you will get more prestige. To get the most out of a peace deal, you should wait for the AI to offer you peace and accept their deal, this way you don't get less prestige even though you are getting provinces. Of course if you want to demand something specific you probably should demand peace yourself.

2. Mobilizing costs money because it's what it takes to equip the reserve divisions. Reinforcing a division doesn't cost anything except manpower, and increased military spending.

3. Don't know.

4. Check the ledger.

The Mexico thing is to prevent it from completely collapsing, even though it´s a suicide anyway :D
